Is it Friday yet?
Dec. 18th, 2007 09:01 amI made a ton of pizelles last night for my co-workers - its been an inexpensive tradition that they seem to really look forward to, so I've been happy to continue. Usually I cheap out and use vegetable oil because I don't want to melt the butter and then wait for it to cool, but I didn't have enough of it so I used the butter. What a difference (duh)! The texture is a bit less crispy and the cookies are definitely sweeter. The mix was more solid and easier to work with, so I'll definitely be going this route in the future.
Tonight is our last class at the studio before the holiday break. I can't believe that Xmas is a week from today. Despite a lot of things going on this year that haven't been so good I've really enjoyed this season. I think I've been able to just let go of the negative more than in year's past and just enjoy friends and things of beauty.
I sent in my request for a https://www.ravelry.com/account/login account. I did do some more sewing and knitting in the last year which was one of my goals, but not as much as I would have liked. I'd like to try and increase this and I think ravelry would be really inspiring for that.
