Please help us

I found out about an hour ago that we won't be closing on our house this
Friday as expected (and as a result, won't be moving this weekend as
previously noted). I need to have the time confirmed but our new closing
date SHOULD be next Thursday June 27th (most likely signing around
noonish).

We'll be picking up a moving truck n Friday June 28th at 8:00 AM and will
have it until 7:30 in the morning on the 29th. We'll be looking
for help from people all day and into the night to load the truck and will
bring the truck over to the new house around 6:00-7:00ish (followed by a
big meat fest in our new backyard).

If you are free to help on the 28th please send me e-mail; many people had
offerred to assist but now that we've switched to another weekend I'm not
sure if that will hold.

Then again, considering all that's happened I won't be surpised if they
keep postponing (grrrrr) I'm glad that we have a good lawyer :/

A and I can't lift heavy stuff due to RSI issues, but if you're in a bind and could use a couple more sets of weak hands we'll rip ourselves away from our own moving/packing/painting to give you a hand.

We're currently in the process of trying to prep the new house and pack the old one at the same time. fun fun fun.

Why did they postpone? Ours was put off a few days due to title issues.

I'm not sure exactly when we'll be in Framingham (since I don't know how many strong people we'll have early on to get the furniture in the truck, I don't know how soon we'll be able to leave Waltham - I'm hoping around 6:00).

If the timing does work out for you (of course) we'll be providing dinner :)

I think you guys have a lot to do without worrying about our house - I think we'll be OK with moving the light stuff; its the really strong furniture moving people that we're worried about not getting (due to this change).

The seller said something about "the condo won't be ready" - I'm not sure if that means their closing for their Condo was pushed off or if they are having work done to it and the work won't be done. I'm annoyed because I think that this wasn't a total suprise to them and that they scheduled things too tightly . . . if early on they stated they wanted to close in late June or early July that would have been fine, we just would have made arrangements accordingly.

They've also had some title issues too (though those are supposedly resolved now) around the trust that the current owner inherited the house from 20+ years ago.

i've got to work a full day fridays but if you need help with the residuals/fragile stuff/kitties/plants i offer up my jetta for the remainders on friday evening or saturday day of that weekend. let me know if you need me.

I think by that point we'll OK with fragile stuff - we're going to try to bring it over in cars on Thursday after the closing. I'll let you know though if we need help :)

Just call B on his cell phone on either Thurday or Friday when you want to help - we'll be working on it after the closing until we're done Saturday night :)
