dancerjodiWe had a great one! On Friday we went out for Indian food on Moody and ran some errands with a stop somewhere in there for Brian to get the new Schmancy Star Wars book at Barnes and Noble. The crazy Martha Steward Halloween mag is out now, for people into that sort of thing.
We spent a good chunk of the day around the homefront on Saturday, with a trip to the farmer's market (where we ran into two friends). That evening we went to a cookout at a college friend's house who I hadn't seen since about 96/97. Yay! It was great to catch up and see her lovely home (and meet her hubby and great pups). We are getting together next month with another college friend to work on art projects together.
We spent another morning around the house and headed up to NH to celebrate my Dad's birthday with the fam at my Sister's house, ordering takeout from The Jade in Merrimack. Colin seems to like the kid-friendly, stubby Star Wars toys we got him at Disney, favoring Chewie and Vader out of the bunch (of course).
It was a perfect mix of being home and seeing people, of relaxing and doing stuff. As the crazy fall trooping schedule gets underway with Wizardworld Boston, the Woburn Halloween Parade and Supermegafest in Framingham, it is nice to have some more mellow weekends.
