Good Things

We saw the new Harry Potter in Imax at Reading with September and Corey on Friday night. Going to see Harry Potter in Imax seems like the thing we do with Tember each December. I'm not usually a crazy effects on the big screen kind of gal, but these movies, I really appreciate them.
I can't believe all that we did on Saturday, and yet it wasn't frazzled or disconnected at all. Ballet, groceries, time at home and the 7th Rail Crew show. I can't believe that so much time has passed, because I still remember being that excited kid jumping around at hardcore shows. There is just something about the Middle East downstairs . . .
We made waffles for breakfast yesterday and had a good chunk of the day at home to get things done before going to our first holiday shindig of the season. I love going to things at Lori's because the vibe reminds me very much of our own Christmas Eve parties of days gone by. Brian and I were discussing this as we made our own plans for 2010. Where he saw family time as an obligation I was always excited about the upcoming gatherings: Sundays before going to Gram's, Christmas Eve at our house with both sides of the family, Christmas Day back at Gram's. It has been fun to create our own new traditions during these last few transitional years.
Italian stuffing, pasta, cookies, cheese and crackers. I'm getting my butt to the gym again today. I've got to keep motivated and work some kind of strength routine into my weeks. I love the elliptical and then I have my dance classes. Yoga or Pilates at home would really complete the whole thing, but it's making the time to do it that's always the challenge. Maybe I can get Brian to join me for it tonight? :)
