I got our grocery shopping done yesterday and still had time to read a bit of the new Dresden Files book (loving it) before I fell asleep. I have to load up on some things on my kindle for our trip to NYC in a few weeks since we'll be spending time on the train - any suggestions?

I love the fall-feeling mornings as of late! I picked up some decaf Stash Chai last night, and it was perfect for the cool 60 degree morning. I cannot wait for the fall activities: leaves, apples, pumpkins. Halloween!

Brian is just about finished doing a huge order of Stormtrooper helmets that need delivery at a party on 9/10. maybe we can spend some time this weekend doing yucky stuff in the craft room?

One of the deleading contractors has actually been going back and forth with him - finally. These are the guys that D&D used out in Marlboro. The poor guy lost power and couldn't get on his computer to read our report, but he intends too. We have another name to call also if this doesn't work out. Brian's co-worker apparently has been fighting a similar battle: for 3 years he hasn't been able to find a contractor to do his (relatively) small job. Most don't call back. Two did call back and told him it would not be worth the set up and cleanup for a 1-day job where they book full week jobs back to back all of the time. We'll see what happens.

We're visiting some old Boston Netgoth friends this weekend for a cookout, so fun! I can't remember the last time we made it to the Outhaus.

Started actually putting some baby names on a list and had the first 'ooh, maybe' feeling for one of them. As with any of this prep, we have lots of time, but at the same time it is going by fast. I can't believe I'm already 20 weeks. With lots to do, spreading it out or chipping away is good. :)

Having tea with a good friend tonight.

Okay, might be a shameless plug, but I've been enjoying the Parasol Protectorate series this summer. Gail Carriager:

It looks like you can get the first three bundled in eBook format. VERY steampunky, with vamps and werewolves and secret societies and very proper tea service...oh my!

  • Bring on Autumn!

  • I hope the Deleading Contractors work out for you; we were very pleased with them.

  • Oh, you're halfway there!!!!! /Bon Jovi *giggle*

  • I'm glad the name process is going well so far. It's a fun, yet somehow daunting task. ;)
