We had a great Thanksgiving, with a mix of family, friends and free time. The food turned out well. We did catch the new Muppet movie (amazing).

Our holiday decorations are up, and we saw the http://trans-siberian.com/ for the first time live at the Boston Garden. The weather was perfectly mild for this time of year, and so after the matinee our group walked to the North End for dinner at http://www.cantinaitaliana.com/ and take-out dessert from http://www.modernpastry.com/ .

We still have some major cooking to do. Each year Brian boils the crap out of our turkey carcass and makes a great stock for turkey soup. We assemble a huge pot and once cooled, pour into various containers to stock our freezer for the winter. This year I think it will be even more appreciated once we have a babe to care for, increasing demands on our time. There was a ton of leftover mashed potatoes from our Thursday dinner, so we're thinking of making some shepard's pies to freeze too. Yay bulk cooking!

Getting up for work this morning was so difficult - 6:00 AM came far too soon! I'm looking forward to a low-key week before our busy weekend. :)
