She's slept less well over the last 2 days, and eaten less. Such a quick and dramatic result. My poor baby. :/

I need to get better at pumping. I think I try to do it while distressed, which means I'm not as successful at emptying as I should be (so I miss all of the good fatty stuff that comes at the end).

This continues to be a challenging, amazing, fascinating process.

you want to buy/rent a medela symphony. That made a *huge* difference for S. Isis rents them for 3 month shots.

I own a Medela Pump In Style. Bringing a Symphony back and forth to work isn't too practical. Is the Symphony the only one she tried?

From the class I took at Isis, the real diff between the Medela dual pumps is construction : symphony is a closed/reusable system and is larger where the pump in style and freestyle are single owner (open system) pumps. Do you remember what she paid to rent? If not too bad, maybe leaving one at work and having one at home would save some work. Thanks! :)

Jodi - she paid around 270 for 3 months. The big difference was time and quantity. It could have been getting the right flange size too.

Yeah, I did upgrade flange size (the standard one just hurt). My technique improved greatly after the class I took. I think I have slow letdown, which is my issue and that more practice is helping me to relax and get quicker. I'll ask the folks at Isis about comparative effectiveness.
