I was very tired yesterday for some reason. I guess its my own fault - I didn't get to bed that early on Sunday night and I needed to get up at 5:30 AM (ick)! I also didn't eat my morning or afternoon fruit snacks so I was lacking the energy I usually get from that. And I'm fighting a cold too. It was VERY difficult to stay awake and alert in class and by 5:30 I thought I was going to drop off on the table :/. After a nice dinner with B, talking to my Dad about his experience at his opening and snuggling with B and the cat a bit I ended up in bed around 10:30.
And I forgot to set my alarm; its a good thing that I have a diabetic cat on a strict feeding schedule that was hungry and sat on me meowing because he wanted breakfast :) I had enough time to wash my face and brush my teeth, throw on clothes, feed the animals and give Max his morning insulin injection and get breakfast and lunch together to bring with me out the door. With huge bags under my eyes (ew)!
But then I was hit by that cool air. Fall is around the corner (next Monday, actually). Its the time of year that I REALLY come alive, that I really feel connected to the earth and all around me. This Saturday is also a full moon :)

So amidst my nose-blowing and orange herbal tea drinking and SPSS query running I'm trying to remember that cool breeze as I walked out of the house this morning. If it doesn't rain tonight I think I'll drag B out of the house for a walk down to the library - we can get some exercise in, check out the place and see what they have AND I can get some of my homework done.
OK, so I'm a big nerd. I *like* libraries. Their musty smell and aisles of bookshelves reminds me of simpler times when I was in college; the Simmons Library was where I spent a good deal of my time when I wasn't working, in class or in the Commuter Lounge.
Mmmm, I love the fall.

What are YOU looking forward to this autumn?
