I am stuffed!
Dec. 12th, 2002 01:13 pmI just went to one of the three holiday lunches for our company (they have one at each hospital campus and since I'll be at training on the other 2 days I went over to the Melrose Campus for lunch today). They had cheese & crackers, salad, veggies, potatoes, pasta salad, stuffed chicken w/ gravy, Black Forest Ham, Cranberry sauce and A LOT of sweets with tea, coffee and egg nog for dessert.
It was very weird, they just closed down the hospital cafeteria and had all of the catered food there to be served by doctors and high-level hospital administrators to staff and guests of the hospital. It was neat to see so many people casually strolling through the hospital hallways to the sounds of multicultural holiday music with their huge chocolate dipped strawberries :)
So its 1:00, I haven't worked really since this morning (since I had a staff meeting at 10:00 and headed to the hospital soon after that got out) and I leave here in 3 hours. Not too bad of a life.
But its weird meeting the COO of the company for the first time and having them say "Oh, I remember that *manager* said you were starting soon. We are SO excited to have someone with us with your level of experience".
Weird, just weird.

Our own little office holiday party for my group will be the Monday before Xmas. I'm off on vacation that week and will be babysitting my nephew until my sister gets home from work, so i'm just going to bring him along with me to the party. Has anyone ever had food from Avellino's in Medford before? That's who's doing the food.
So my healthy eating at this time is usually right out the window. I best be gettin' my butt back to the gym soon :)

Re: WOW!
Date: 2002-12-12 01:06 pm (UTC)I'm not sure what a symmetrix is, but you can check out our openings at hallmarkhealth.org (though, I know we're having issues with our ISP so if you can't find a current openings link on the main page of the site or if the site is down, check back later).
Let me know if anything looks interesting.
