I can't believe its Wednesday! I can't WAIT for this week to be over (vacation next week, yay!).

I was out in Needham at http://www.partners.org/ having training on a http://www.cognos.com/ product called http://www.cognos.com/products/impromptu/index.html . Tomorrow I'll be there for 1/2 a day for training on their more user-friendly product, http://www.cognos.com/products/powerplay/index.html . It will be really neat, I'll be connecting via our VPN to download data from 2 of our payers. If this tool works out it will allow me more time to design projects and analyze the results and less time just querying to get the data.

I picked up our Lord of the Rings tix yesterday after training (in addition to getting an oil change, picking up Max's snooty cat food and doing other random errands). We'll be going Tomorrow night and I CAN'T WAIT! I just finished reading the book last week - when I was a kid I had only managed to read my way thorough The Hobbit. I read #1 last year during waiting times at practices and performances for the Christmas Show and I've read #2 during lunch at work.

Today is my first meeting over at our Medford hospital campus, lets see if I can find where I need to be!

On a spiritual note, since I finished school I've started reading a book that I picked up a while ago and stuck on a shelf "until I had time" and I'm LOVIN' it! Its called "A Woman's Book of Power" and has a new-agey and dance bent: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0399523723/ref=pd_sxp_elt_l1/104-1001588-2371161 . I'm hoping over this short bout of absolute free time to do lots of dancing :)

Yesterday before heading to the oil change I had some time to kill, so I finally checked out a store near my house, http://www.ofspirit.com/MayasDream.htm . This place is deceiving, its in a house and looks really small from the outside but has a lot of great books, music, jewelry and supplies. I decided to splurge and I bought a "garden stone" with a rabbit on it which I hung on the tree in our dining room (basically it was a plaster cast rabbit inside of a wreath hanging on a green satin ribbon). I also bought a ring to wear on the finger that used to wear the one I got in NOLA that I lost (at that Irish pub place, the night we went dancing).

I'm hoping I can keep up this kind of self-awareness next semester when things get crazy again. I hate feeling like a crazed, numb robot - running from one thing to the next.

OK, I'll stop rambling and get ready for my meeting :)

heh. I used to know someone who worked for Cognos.
The guy she married was a bagpiper in a police squad who traveled all over the world. :) I asked him once, so when you practice, how can you tell if you're getting any better? :)
