Yikes

That was one crazy weekend! A kick ass show was to be had on Friday night, a kick-ass party with pr0n on Saturday, and chilling around the house with B on Sunday. I think I need another weekend to recover from our weekend.

My friend's band was on MTV2 last night on the "You Hear it First" show. Its freaky to see friends from elementary and high school on MTV, just weird. You can check it out on MTV2 on these dates/times: June 9th,12:30pm, June 11th, 1am
June 12th,8:30am, June 14th,8:30am, June 15th,3am

They'll be on regular MTV on June 19th,8:30pm (more dates coming soon)

Weird. I'm hoping to check out this Thursday's show at The Skellig in Waltham. The other band playing is another Waltham-based group (and I actually briefly dated one of the guys in that group too). You should all go, yup, I think so!

Tonight is my last bellydance class and then I have 2 Sunday rehearsals, one Friday dress rehearsal and a Saturday night show. I can't believe how fast the time went by! I finally picked up a coin belt for the performance so now my costume is complete. I have to say, its convenient having a store that sells bellydance supplies and costumes within walking distance from my house.

Interview

I found a cool interview w/ my friend's band from a while back. Its long, but gives a bit of the history of the band and tells you where they are coming from. And of course, makes me homesick again.

Apparently Cafe Aventura in The Garage Mall in Harvard Square is closed. RIP oh ye place of the cheap, huge, greasy slices of pizza - I will remember you well and some of the many, many times that I sat in your chairs looking down at the people coming up the escalator to go to Newbury Comics or that cheezy jewelry store that sold all the heavy metal rings.
