This weekend was nice, not too busy, not too dead.

On Friday we got all gussied up and went out to Man Ray. PVC is a good thing. On Saturday we kicked butt in our laundry room: sand plaster, prime, 2 coats paint on walls, 2 coats paint on closet doors and paint on a shelf that cookbooks will be on. We were taken out to dinner by some lovely peeps and then went to Revere beach (ya dood!). Yesterday we did some crafting after brunch prepared by the lovely Devina, came home for some more kitchen stuff, had a nice dinner of grilled food and corn from the farm down the street and then just vegged in our swanky living room. B and I had some (heh) time for quality time last night, yay!

I've decided to set some realistic goals for myself now that I'm going back to school. Like, I want to set aside 1 day a month at least for crafting/sewing. I'm going to try and set aside my lunch hour for pleasure reading (homework will be after work and on weekends). I'm going to need to allow myself the time to exercise or dance after work on non-school days. I'm also going to try and pick up Italian again . . .

On that note, can anyone recommend good language CDs that I could listen to in my car?

My boss is back from her 2 week vacation today. I'm hoping she'll be energized and ready for us to work together, and do some interesting things rather than just scrambling with ad-hoc stuff all of the time.

B and I stopped at the Farm around the corner from our house yesterday on the way home to pick up what they had. I mentioned the corn on the cobb we grilled yesterday - I also got 2 kinds of lettace, some tomatoes and some cute, teeny peaches.

It makes SUCH a difference eating such fresh food, wow, I forgot. There is so much more flavor, the quality is so great compared to the supermarket. Yum.

So if you're out in our neck of the woods check out Sunshine Farm (their large farm store building will be finished construction supposedly at the end of the month - right now they are selling out of a big awning). There is an article about them in here:

So who is going to see The Dresden Dolls at the Freedom Fest?

They go on right after WALTHAM, that's right. You will all be subject to the mightiness that comes from the kids from Moody. Aw, yeah :)

Yeah, so I'll be there too despite my straight-edgedness; I used to go to see Sam Black Church there every year, years ago. Prepare to see me in my silly rock-chick glory

Are any of my peeps with me? Sordid, shall we wear our matching thongs? WanderingSuzie, you game? Buhler?
