Twas a nice weekend
Nov. 3rd, 2003 08:35 amI realized this weekend that the version of The Shining that I had seen as a young kid (and had watched over and over again) wasn't the real one, it was the edited for TV version.
My cousin graduated from college finally (after 6 years) and I could sense the relief in her. I hope to be in that place come the end of the summer. Poor Brian, he hadn't been introduced to my Aunt's family before . . . but he survived it ;)
We dressed up like our LJs on Saturday night - Brian should have pictures later.
I didn't get as much homework done yesterday as I would have liked to, but we did get an apple pie baked, did put away our Halloween decorations, clean up our backyard and break down a huge pile of boxes that had been in our basement for months waiting to go out with the recycle stuff. Mom loved her birthday present (a photo album of pics of us kids) and making dinner for the fam was a hoot - crazy, loud and crowded just like old times. I thought it was great, Brian thought it was nuts.
Brian and I did get to spend a lot of time together this weekend, talking about our own nuances and how they impact our relationship. We didn't get out to all the places we had hoped to but we needed to slow down at bit.

I can't believe that its November 3rd. My HS reunion is at the end of the month and then it will be December, yikes!
