Ugh

Since we've lived in our neighborhood there's been a handful of stabbings, and a handful of shootings. Blech.

Here's another one, about 3 blocks from our house:

It was also in the paper with another article about two guys from our town drugging and raping a couple of 13 year old girls.

People are sick.

Dood!

Its like, totally pouring in Malden now :)

I'm going to heat up my left-overs from last night for lunch. The Trader Joe's "Cajun" sauce leaves much to be desired. I'm still psyched over their turkey meatballs and this citrus sauce that's supposed to represent cooking from some Latino country I'm forgetting now.

During my lunch hour, I'll write a 1-page 'Insight' paper on what I've read for my Organizations class for tomorrow, and hopefully I'll read more of "Return of the King" - must finish before the movie comes out in December.

Come on admit it, your jealous of my rock star life ;)

Well, at least there is The Matrix tonight :)

I listened to "From the Choirgirl Hotel" 10,000 times in the car yesterday, I forgot how much I loved this song, sad as it is:

Today's favorite CD is Shadows Fall

Papers

I have around one month left of school this semester, that makes me deleriously happy.

For my Organizations class I'm going to write my final research paper (15 pages) on the impact of technology on the health care organizations, focusing on the implementation of electronic medical records (EMR). Right now we're dealing with this issue at work so I thought it would be neat to write about it.

For my Sociology of Mental Health class I need to do write a paper (smaller I think, maybe 8-10 pages?) regarding health policy and the the current emphasis on preventive care. I still need to read the chapters from our texts on this (they are the last ones we'll deal with in the semester, so I have to read ahead) and do some poking in the library.

Can I just tell you that I love the fact that I can find most journal articles I need online? I love libraries and all, but getting the time to go to them is more difficult now than when I was a full time undergrad student. That, and there aren't any comfy places to veg in the Umass Library compared to the room with all the couches that was just past the check-out desk at Simmons. Sometimes I wish I lived in the Fenway so that I was only a hop, skip and a jump from there.
