I read on the band's board the other day that someone named "Jen" (I think) who is a Miss Mantown and on their DVD and presumably calendar http://www.waaf.com/jocks/hillman/ (pics section probably isn't work safe) put a Waltham song on her segment of said DVD. I'm wondering if she's from Waltham and if I actually know her or something. I'm guessing the guys are really excited to have a Miss Mantown pimping their music! ;)

In the car this morning when I got sick of the NPR 'pre fund drive' I switched over to WAAF to hear the guys talking about the release party yesterday where the DVD was shown. A caller mentioned Waltham, that the song was on the DVD, and that they were up for a BMA tonight (and of course, that the station should play more of them). :)

Anyway, go vote: http://www.nemoboston.com/bma/index.html . Here's hoping they get another win like last year (the Dresden Dolls are on there too, and I'm sure they'd like your vote as well). And I think I know what the answer is, but is there any chance in hell that any of you have (or will be getting) this DVD? It would be cool to see it (though I can't believe I'm saying that).

Schmoop!

Sometimes Brian really suprises me (like when he posts at 4 AM after fighting with servers on the other side of the city): http://www.livejournal.com/users/tk7602/

Commute to work took 1 full hour (what is it with 93 lately? It takes me a 1/2 hour to go 5 miles!). Commute to school from work took 2 hours (what is it with 93 lately? It took me 2 hours to go 5 miles!).

Class was to start late, and the prof showed up even later (making us get out still later). The entrance to the pike was closed (yay big dig, not) so I went into the tunnel, took Storrow to Central to the Pike, and got home late. Last night though I finally found the detour: its at the South Station exit. Next time around I'll be in the right lane to grab it and see where it leaves me (ah, driving around there is always such an adventure)!

I proceeded to sit on the floor with my cat drinking warm cider and Brian told me about his day (I looked sort of like death warmed over). After about 10 minutes I put on my PJs, brushed my teeth, washed my face and climbed into bed (only to wake up in what felt like 2 seconds to see the alarm going off at 6:15 am).

Here's to a good day to make up for yesterday's shitty day (this goes for YOU too)! Here's to a nice night filled with apple pie, a woodstove (in Watertown and on its way to my house today) and the hubby despite the rain! Here's to a rockin Thursday (bwahahaha! You will all be assimilated) and relaxing Friday and fun Saturday and relaxing Sunday.

Phear my positivity! http://www.lyricstime.com/lyrics/30204.html

From someone in the Southern California Garrison on the 501st mailing list:

"To all,
I just received word this morning that a member of ours and a personal freind of mine, SL-5517 [SL stands for Sith Lord], has gone MIA.

According to reports, he was last with his Taskforce unit in southern Iraq. The unit came under fire and he has been missing ever since. Seeing that I know this man would never run from a fight, I can only assume the worst.

Please everyone, keep him in your prayers. His name is PVT Jonathan David Fambrough."

It was followed by people around the globe sending prayers and well wishes. Here's hoping they find this guy soon and he's OK!
