I'm at work today, sniffly and all, but I'm here. I have a meeting tomorrow morning that I needed to prep for. Wouldn't you know that our Department's Shared drive is down (and has been since last night apparently). Figures! I could have been at home in my bed with the cat, blowing my nose in comfort.

Here's to creative meeting prep on the fly! I hope you are all doing well!

I need to decide tonight if I want to go to dance class to sit and watch or if I should skip the lesseon entirely to sit at home, blow my nose, and get to bed early. At the moment I'm leaning toward the latter (Katie - if I don't show up can you let them know why)?

Brian and I have been together for about 10 years. In all that time its actually rare that we've both been sick at the same time. Usually one of us is on the up while the other is going down. Sometimes one of us gets sick while the other completely avoids it. Usually our symptoms differ from each other. This cold though, this is the first time we've truly been together in sickness where in the past one was ill and the other the caretaker. Its nice having a couch in the den that's got two sides that recline. He was in one with his laptop, me in the other with some newspapers, kleenex, a trash can and tea in the middle, and a cat across any side periodically.

After sneezing, nose-blowing and sleeping the day away (and watching a whole lot of Night Rider and Stargate SG-1) we made dinner together. He opened a can of soup to throw in the microwave and threw bread in the toaster while I refreshed our teapot, kleenex and got the table set. It was an Anderson classic, chicken soup and toast with peanut butter. I toasted to being healthy again with my large water glass as we both took another 2 non-drowsy cold caplets and pondered the meal. To add to the hilarity of it all I lit the candles in the candelabra and shut off the overhead light. I stole a hug in the kitchen doorway while cleaning up dishes, or more like the two of us kept each other standing with said hug.

Such are life's simple pleasures. I can't wait to go home and put my PJs on after work. I hope he's feeling better today than I am . . .
