though I'm still not healthy. Accomplishments last night included putting laundry away, reading 2 pages of Tori Amos' book, and getting over 9 hours of sleep. You know I've got to be really sick to skip 2 dance classes in one week (I WILL be there on Saturday, damnit!). My poor nose is so dry and sore despite using the lotion kleenex.

Our EMR meeting this morning went well. Things are getting done. Having a boss again is a wonderful thing not only for the direction, but for the buffering. After a quick lunch I'll try and get some more things done before our 3:00 staff meeting with said new boss. He's definitely a social guy.

*sniffle* I need to order new tea from Upton tomorrow (along with spices from Penzeys). Here's hoping funds permit it!

Spring

Its feeling almost like spring today. Its cool out but not as cold as its been. My pregnant and uncomfortably warm co-worker opened a nearby window and the breeze feels nice for the first time in a while. The sun has moved out from behind a cloud for the moment.

Spring makes me think of driving with the windows down, feeding the ducks, talks on the front porch, working on finals while sitting in a coffee shop with my love, and getting excited about summer (walking in the sand, swimming, hiking, faire, cook-outs, drive-ins, watermelon, the hammock).

What does spring mean to you?

I'm going to plant things in the ground this year. In year's past I've been busy writing a thesis, or busy shopping for a new house, or not wanting to invest the time and money into a place we'd be leaving in a year or so. This year, I'm literally laying down roots. In addition to trip planning I'll want to keep this in my mind over the next month so that when the frost is gone I'll be ready!
