I'm a dummy

I had a good meeting at the Medford campus first thing this morning, but forgot all of my groceries in the car (salad stuff, cereal, bread, turkey and cheese). Luckilly the turkey and cheese is inside of a plastic bag with a good sized ice pack. I'm going to walk across the street to grab it so I can make my lunch and have time to get ready for a 2:00 meeting. From there I head to a dentist appointment, grilling sausages and cooking dirty rice for dinner, and heading to dance class in Central for an 8:00 class. Busy, busy!

Happy May people! May your spring bring much growth in ways that you're hoping.

In other news, I've been out of school since late December and though I've gained the strength, flexibility and stamina I lost during my 3 year stint of having no free time, the squishiness hasn't subsided to the degree that I'd like. I need to figure out some kind of active cardio activity in addition to the 3 dance classes a week. Its time to get those bikes to Frank's Spoke and Wheel for tune ups too. Does anyone have suggestions on how to teach an adult (Brian) how to ride a bike? :) Damned aging metabolism and having to work harder to maintain!

Can it be?

The word is that the "new" Waltham album will be out around July 15 (a remixed "Permission to Build" with some other songs and a demo disk added). It seems their release party may be http://boston.cc.com/events.html?event_id=210458 . It figures, its a Clear Channel venue. :/ Its kind of late for a release party and all, but they had said the release would be at the Paradise so I'm guessing this may be it . . .

Assuming the date doesn't change, does anyone want to go (its a Saturday night)? I'll get tickets in advance once the date gets closer, since I'm assuming it will sell out (the last release party did, and it seems their following has grown since the MTV and Disney coverage of the band, and who knows what kind of promotion Ryko will do for them).

Ozzfest this year has an amazing lineup. The show is 7/15 and tickets go on Sale this Saturday. Now, do we get lawn seats again or real seats? Hrm.

The lineup includes:
Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Mudvayne, Shadow's Fall, Black Label Society and In Flames on the main stage (Velvet Revolver picks up the end of the tour so we'd miss it in Boston, damn!). The 2nd stage (the "Hot Topic" stage, um, ew!) includes Rob Zombie, Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Mastodon, A Dozen Furies, The Haunted, Arch Enemy, The Black Dalia Murder, Bury Your Dead, It Dies Today, Soilwork, Trivium and 2 more unannounced bands.

Motorhead is playing at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom Wednesday night. Motorhead. Lemmy. Let that sink in for a minute.

Its where bands go to die, holy crap! I've never been a huge Motorhead fan or anything but its Lemmy! Moles and all, you've got to give the guy props.

Part of me feels sad about this while another part of me wants to try and go to the show (or at least for dinner and hanging out on the boardwalk to hear the show outside for free as most often works). That and I've been jonesing for a beach trip lately.
