Last night's dance class went from 6:30 to after 10:00. Yikes! I was asked to do the Soft Shoe with some others in the show (there will be 8 of us or so). Methinks my parents will cry when they see it due to sentimentality (I'm not going to tell them about it).
I forgot to mention - we found a permanent pet sitter! This woman does petsitting full time for a living and has a couple of part time assistants. She's an ex vet tech so she's used to giving needles. She lives in Watertown, so she's close to us, and she was looking for more AM clients. We've booked her for Dragoncon and will work on other trip planning. I'd love to hit Griffin Grove once over the summer, and a trip to NYC in December. My friends have given up a lot to take care of our fuzzheads over the last couple of years, but we needed to find a permanent solution to the whole diabetic cat preventing us from ever going away issue. Whee! :)
Tonight I want to pick up some things for the Leia outfit and clean the house a bit. The movie premiere frenzy has taken a toll on the place. Tomorrow we'll be at Goffee for the first time in who knows how long. I'll be bringing my Gryffindor Scarf knitting along (that I want to try and finish in the next couple of weeks.
Out of the blue I got an e-mail from an old college friend. We hung around quite a bit over Freshman year when we lived on the same floor in South Hall. She and I had similar taste in music and would meet at times to "celebrate the moments of our lives" over instant coffee (really, that's what we'd call it). We'd talk about classes, boys, and my annoying roommate that most on the floor didn't like. She found me on our Alumnet site and asked if a friend of hers interested in Sociology could contact me to discuss what I've done, and other related career options. We're going to try and get together at some point this weekend since it happens that she'll be in Waltham. Freaky!
