Going to vote after work (rather than before) results in no wait time. Granted, this isn't a National election, but still.
On our ballot we had options for School Committee (pick 3), Councilor at Large (pick 6) and City Councilor (only 1 - the same guy that's been doing it for years, would would get my vote anyway). The
http://www.communitypreservation.org/index.cfm was also on the ballot again (was voted down in 2001. We'll see tomorrow how it all pans out.
I met a candidate for State Representative on the way home who was greeting voters, thanking them for performing their civic duty. He seems like an interesting guy
http://www.tobyfisher.org/ (background in Social work and emphasizing health care and education). Definitely something to keep my eye on. Our current State Rep (imo) has served us well, but he's considering the Middlesex County DA position.
Its still weird going to vote in the basement of my old elementary school. Still, its a nice walk over there from the house. It gives me a chance to enjoy the fall air, look around, and remember how much I love being here.
