It was a nice, but busy one. On Friday we were trooping at a school out in Dudley http://www.501neg.com/photos/thumbnails.php?album=514 . The kids seemed to have a great time, and we finished up early, which was good for my fleeting voice and scratchy throat. I had some tea and got to bed earlier than expected.
On Saturday I went to Ballet class but watched/walked through routines so as to try and get healthy. Post class, I met up with Mom for lunch and we took in the purse exhibit in Concord http://www.concordmuseum.org/ . It was so neat seeing the various purse styles from the Victorian era up to now, the items that would have been in them, and what it all said about women's roles in that age. Its a small exhibit, but definitely worth checking out! After mother-daughter bonding I had some father-daughter bonding, where we finally watched "Curse of the Wererabbit" together. Brian was trooping at the MOS during the day, so he brought back the troopers to our place for grilling and hanging out.
Yesterday was closing day at the MOS, and still being sick, and still having no voice, I forgoed wearing the ANH Leia for being a wrangler/photographer. There were a ton of costumed folks and we had a great time, hopefully making the experience more real for the last minute geeks checking out the exhibit before it moves to its next stop: Ohio. Here's a ton of pics: http://www.501neg.com/photos/thumbnails.php?album=516 . We finished up with a last dinner at the 99 in Charlestown, an NEG tradition. I'm happy to see it go because its sucked up so much of our live over the last 6 months, but at the same time I'm sad to see it go. The MOS became a home away from home in many ways, and its been a lot of fun growing closer with other troopers and contributing to the experiences of other excited fans.
In other places people were dancing (I'm so sorry I missed it, the pics look great), "zombies" were taking over Davis Square, Porter Square and Harvard Square, and friends were dealing with the loss of their beloved kitty (I'm thinking of you two, *hugs*). So much can happen in a weekend!
Today, we try and get back to normal. I have a pile of work to catch up on, a pile of laundry to wash tonight, and we need to get the rest of our trash into the dumpster for pickup tomorrow. Have a great week all! :)
