Jun. 7th, 2006 08:49 amLast night's dance class was a hot and tiring one, though we got out of class about a 1/2 hour earlier than expected and I took home a costume, so its not all bad! Having one really stubbed baby toe (possibly broken) and a big toe with the nail cut down too low on the same foot and than dancing in heels on it for 3 hours hurts. A lot.
We finally got a vote of confidence that we'll be good pet owners (duh) from the Charles River Feline Rescue, so now we need to find a time that we can meet up with the foster parent and finally go and meet Charlie. My guess is that they'll suggest tomorrow since I have plans already (because that's usually how things work). Either way, we'll meet him soon. After meeting him we need to wait 24 hours so we can make sure we want him, and they can make sure that they want to give him to us. Come on people, I could have walked into a pet store and bought a kitten and immediately walked out a week ago! I understand them wanting to be cautious in placing cats, but there are a ton that need homes, you know? I think its appropriate that we got word on Charlie on Slayer day - maybe the furball has a little bit of metalhead in him? I have fond memories of sitting in my attic bedroom and listening to new music with Max (I'm sure he knew all of the Metallica and Megadeth lyrics in his little kitty brain and would sing them if able). :)
Reviews of the new Omen movie aren't great, but I'm still curious to see it. Why do today's movies suck so bad? We haven't seen X3 yet and probably won't end up seeing in in a theater anyway given reviews. Damn. Is it that 'the masses' are more easily entertained, that people aren't as talented anymore, or a little bit of both?
