New England Fall
Oct. 2nd, 2006 09:41 amBrian and I are finally checking out http://www.topsfieldfair.org/ tonight. I've lived in the Boston area my entire life, and have never actually made it here.
Its actually where my parents went on their first date many years ago, so there's an added significance to the place for me. While up on top of the Ferris Wheel my Mom swallowed a bug that flew into her mouth, and I guess that sealed the deal. We always avoided the place as a family actually due to the cost of us all going to a place like that (the kids always wanted food, and toys, and were a pain in the butt). The traffic always used to keep my parents away too - they just didn't want to deal with it.
Each year the time comes and goes but Brian and I have too much going on to partake in it. BUT this year I was ready! I checked the dates months ago and put them into my work calendar so that I'd remember. Our weekends are kind of busy, so we planned to take the drive up after making dinner tonight if the weather is conducive (which it should be, clear but cool). Huge barn o' bunnies, here I come! :)
