The plumbers are upstairs. The rough work is done, the floor is screwed down, and they are in the process of hooking up the tub. Whoot! Dad came by to supervise and schmooze. Our plumber and his helper are both really great guys, its too bad the owner is being a poop about this job taking so long. Time is time, right? If we weren't paying them to work here they'd be paid to work somewhere else. Its not like we told them it had to get done NOW - we'd be flexible if they had already comitted to other work. Most plumbers seem to want to take only big jobs, these guys (at least the owner) seem to prefer smaller ones. Plumbing is plumbing, right? Either way, after today they'll be done with the big stuff, and after we're done with walls and such they'll come back to hook up the sink and toilet. I'm fearing this bill, I just want to get it over with. :)
The show was eh last night, but it was fun to hang out with Mistress Bellona and Deadwinter. The opener was from PA, and was a kind of heavier Alice in Chains with less good vocals (called "Until Winter" or something like that). Lacuna Coil was next - better than Ozzfest but still had matchingish outfits and did the synchronized headbanging. They played all songs from Karmacode and played Heaven's A Lie, just like at Ozzfest. Bleh. I think my love from them is waning as with Metallica, and I'll need to be happy with the older stuff. Shadow's Fall was awesome as always! They had a lot of enthusiasm, sounded great, and played a good mix of songs. We picked up their new album at the show (it came out this Tuesday). Man, his dreads have gotten long - down to his ankles or something.
We'll be working on the house until the weekend, but we'll see some of you at the Seven Sunless Days show on Saturday night. Have a good rest of the week! :)
