Waltham (the band) is opening for Boston (the band) at the Tweeter Center in June.
SHIT!
This just may be the break they need (though, being filmed by MTV2 for the "You Hear it First" clip and the fact that Saturday's Headbanger's ball was filmed at the singer's tattoo parlor doesn't hurt either).
Man this is weird.
(does anyone know if they re-air Headbanger's Ball? I couldn't find anything to that degree on the MTV web site).

Don't let my bitterness confuse you...
Date: 2003-05-19 12:51 pm (UTC)They are an excellent live band. They have an amazing amount of enthusiasm and energy. And, unlike a lot of crap I have heard at the ME Dnstairs, they can play. I still care about that stuff.
However, since I lack an interest in suburban history/sensibilities, or in things that sound like Rick Springfield, their music does not speak to me in any way. Also, I can pronounce my R's. This does not make them bad. Live, I can get into them because their energy is very contagious.
All of that being said, the words "Headbanger's Ball" and "Waltham" do not belong together in any sentence[1].
1. Unless that sentence is "Waltham does not belong in the Headbanger's Ball"
Re: Don't let my bitterness confuse you...
Date: 2003-05-20 04:32 am (UTC)And I didn't put them together in a sentance either. The episode was filmed (AFAIK) from the tattoo parlor like I said: "the fact that Saturday's Headbanger's ball was filmed at the singer's tattoo parlor doesn't hurt either". The focus was on Pino Bros Ink, not on the band :)
"Also, I can pronounce my R's"
Out here, you are a minority in that Man (I can too, if I'm trying very hard to do it) ;)
