I'm trying to figure out what I want to sign up for in the fall semester - I'm so, so torn.
I want to take 2 classes but they are offered on different nights (so much for only driving into class 1 day a week). But I really want to take both of them.
I could take 1 and then do my fieldwork requirement . . . but I wanted to do the 6 credit fieldwork, making my tuition bill in the fall huge (it would be as if I was in the program full time).
Or I could suck it up and drive into school 2 days a week - but then I wouldn't be able to go to dance class (unless I went to dance class on the same night as school . . . my luck though, they'd be on different nights).
This is a big pain in the ass. Scheduling was much easier in undergrad days when I worked jobs around my class schedule (not my class schedule around my jobs).
I'm leaning in the 'take 2 classes that I really like' direction and then in the Spring take a breather and do 1 class plus the fieldwork. I'd need to submit a proposal on "an analysis of your
work experiences or related issues in the context of some relevant
sociological theory" - later a paper would follow. I think getting more course work under my belt before doing this may be a good idea.
If you're interested, this is what I'm thinking of:

Date: 2003-05-20 08:20 am (UTC)you could sign up for one or both now, and then wait to see which day your dance class falls on, which class looks/feels better on the first day and/or whether you're feeling up to taking two classes when the time comes.
in my experience, the bills for fall classes aren't sent out until late august, and you can get a full refund or switch classes in the first week.
