To everyone for the birthday wishes!

I can definitely say that it was a lovely day (pedicure, facial, dinner at Pomodoro, a sunset stroll on the Charles, watching old men play bocci while discussing old family traditions and ending it all with canollis from Modern was just lovely).

Sounds like a lovely way to spend a birthday :) Modern is my favourite place for cannolis....everyone raves about Mike's, but they're only second best ;)

How was the pedicure - as scary as you thought it would be?

It wasn't bad at all! She said they couldn't totally remove my callouses (that would take many trips). I got a spa pedicure which included lots of bubbly jets of water, a massage and tingly herbal treatments. I'm DEFINATELY going to go again!

You probably don't want them to completely remove your callouses anyway, just the surplus. Callouses are what keep your feet from being in pain when you walk around the house in bare feet, and when you wear ultra-cool boots which fail to be cool in the comfort category. :)
