The kitchen

The cabinets are in. Dad came over yesterday (despite having head-splitting pain due to an infected tooth that had a root canal finally) to make the template for our counter top. Dad has to place the order for the thing and a week or so from now the monstrous thing will be done - we'll need strong manly volunteers to help move the massive 1 piece L-shaped thing in place :).

We should be paying the rest of our huge chunk of $ this week to buy floor tiles, wall tiles, a new faucet for the sink and a garbage disposal. After that it will be small odds and ends like stain and hardware for the cabinets (new knobs) and I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting.

I do not know if your father can get hardware at a discount but I did my research at http://www.myknobs.com/ because they have a good search engine.
I then purchased them at http://www.dlawlesshardware.com/

Both offer free shipping after a certain dollar amount. Both were a lot cheaper then Home Depot & Lowes. I needed to update the hardware on my bedroom furniture and wanted it all to match. Since I could not find furniture hardware I liked, I used kitchen cabinet handles & knobs.

I've seen the myknobs.com site before. Right now the doors/drawers aren't even in the cabinets. I need to put them all in to figure out what I need :)
