Apparently The Dresden Dolls are also playing at the Freedom Rally in September with WALTHAM! You goths should put your pretension away and check out the boys (its free too, after all). You never know, it could get you moving and put a smile on your face.

There's not much on the official site now http://www.masscann.org/rally.htm , I found this news on Waltham's site. Its not listed on The Dresden Dolls site yet either, so it *could* only be a rumor . . . here's hoping its not. The last time I went to the hemp fest I was either still in HS or right out of HS (I was there to see Sam Black Church and Tree at the time, perhaps members from those groups will be there this year).

This will be weird, kind of like when P's other band headlined a show that the old incarnation of Scissorkiss opened for. Seeing people from 2 completely different groups in my life in one room was surreal.

Waltham's been becoming more and more of a happening town (hence, why B and I couldn't afford to buy a house there . . . we used to the be scummy city that all the other surrounding ones looked down on and there were hookers on Moody Street, no fooling!).

But Waltham the band has been gaining more and more popularity over the last year it seems (I'm thinking lots of press in Boston and being on MTV helps this, though) :)

Its so weird, but I'm so immensely proud of them all.

huh. nice that I live in such a good area then :)

I'm actually going to be moving into a permanent place within the next year or so myself. I need a three bedroom house or condo for 250 or under. is this remotely doable?

Not in Waltham but yeah, you can find them. Just how picky are you about your neighborhood? We moved out to ours because last year we could buy a 3 bedroom house for $250k. This year they are going for around $300.

(granted, we hate our neighborhood and I want to move back to Waltham and wish we just settled for a smaller place or stuck it out in our apartment and saved for a bit longer)

I need to live in a neighborhood that's safe. no slums. I live alone, and I'm a young female.

This sounds like an ad for a stalker movie.

"Young female who lives alone seeks disturbed male friend of indeterminate age who has strange personal habits and lives with mother. Must be extremely intelligent as well as extremely creepy. Obsession with rodents optional."

Yeah, that is how I feel about LJ these days -- my college friends have run accross my lj and built ljs for themselves. It is odd to have groups collide. All I need now if the what I call 'the northeastern crew' to get ljs and it will be a total mess.
