Sad but true
Aug. 24th, 2003 11:41 amThis was a great article. Its about how the popularity of tap dancing has declined over time and how few people now can do it. Its also about how the "new generation" cares too much about sex and violence to give a shit about something like tap dancing. The article closes with the most funniest line I think I've seen, talk about visuals!
I miss tap dancing so much - it was always so me. There are fewer and fewer opportunities to do it. Even in the 80's and early 90's there were few of us in high school that got "it", mostly students of the studio I took lessons at (where the teacher was getting close to her 70's and had performed for the troops in the USO during WWII doing tap dancing with her brother and dad). My old teacher was also one of the first tap dancing cigarette boxes in an old Old Gold commercials (she was 8 months pregnant at the time, so they put her in a box). The smaller one was a student of hers. These commercials continued over time, where they put models and more famous people in the boxes: http://www.tvacres.com/dance_butts.htm
Here's the article about the demise of tap dancing:

Bunny vets
Date: 2003-08-25 05:07 am (UTC)They have 2 vets that are trained in "exotics" which means bunnies, ferrets, birds, reptiles, etc. Our animals have seen Dr. Lynn (I think her first name is Debra, but I could be wrong) for years and she's great!
For emergencies I can highly recommend Vescone on Bear Hill Rd. in Waltham. We took Flopsy there in his last days and they were very quick to diagnose, very open and informative about what was going on and very comforting to us in discussing what we should do. They do so much there (like, even chemo for pets, I didn't even know one could have that done) . . . I thought it was easier than taking him into Angell Memorial in JP.
Hope this helps. You could also try the MA House Rabbit site for info too.
