Hightlights from the weekend included:

Going to the Rockpile and seeing 5 people that I knew from High School days, two of them still dressing the same and having the same heavy metal hair-dos from the 80's. I said to Brian "Oh my God, I can't believe she still hangs out here". His reply: "but Jodi, you're here". My reply: "But she's still dressed the same way". His reply: "but you have a Motley Crue t-shirt on". Heh ;)

Saturday was nuts. We finally saw my Dad's paintings at the Derry NH library, very nice and weird at the same time. After a botched apple-picking attempt we went to visit with Tom and Llee at The Outhaus and meet their new cows and do some pumpkin carving. From there we went out to Lowell to see Alice Cooper. Man that man has aged well! I don't know anyone that can pull off gold sequin pants or straightjackets as well as he can :) I was excited, he played a bunch of older songs, three songs off of "Welcome to my Nightmare" (the title song, Cold Ethyl and Only Women Bleed) - God I love that album!

Yesterday was homework day and after a dinner with Nazier we headed to my dance teacher's DVD release party and performance at The Middle East. They were fun as always, the DJ sucked and screwed up their music more than a few times (no live bands on Sundays like they have on Wednesday). I got up with a few other people for their mini lesson on how to do shimmy's (I felt bad that a lot of audience people had left by that point) and I did pick up a DVD, though I don't know when I'll be able to watch it.

This week will be nuts. I have class tonight and have to swing by Cannongrls place to get some pix. Tomorrow I have class. Wednesday I need to do errands and homework before going to the Salem Fires show. Thursday I have class. Friday is Halloween - I'm still not done with my Amidala costume.

Ah well, all in due time ;)

I want a vacation - Brian, we should take some time off.

Is the rockpile where WAAF does thier shows? Cuz I was thinking that SF should try to get in up there.

Its an under 21 metal club that re-opened at some point in the last year . . . I used to go all the time when I was in HS.

We saw 1 good band, 1 other band that I've seen be good before (but they sounded like crap on Friday). The other ones kind of sucked, think Limp Bizkit like or leaning more towards the hardcore end (but not knowing how to play their instruments).

It seemed like a mix of either mainstream kids that like heavy stuff on the radio and crusty old glammy metalheads . . . I'm not sure how SK would fit in there (seeing how Krista can sing, and all of you can play) :)

I know that WAAF hosts Friday night Battles of the Bands, not sure of the other nights.

Sounds like we'd be GODS then. :P Just kidding -- what I've heard of some of the bands playing there sounds pretty good, and I think we need to expand into the 'metal' scene since we aren't really dancable-goth.

Plus there seems to be people who want to see all ages shows.
