Using http://www.taxslayer.com/ with the help of Tiamatlady, the tax Goddess got us our Federal Refund in 8 business days, whoot!

(of course, the $12 state refund that we were using to go to Taco Bell for dinner didn't show up yet)

Its nice to see some more money in the savings. It will be nicer after tonight when Brian gets some idea of what his severance will be (and, can deposit it at the bank tomorrow).

I'm not surprised by the state. The service has been rapidly going downhill, they simply don't have any money. The Feds have SO much to do that if you raise no red flags, and everything matches. they just give you your money, and figure it out later.

I'm glad things went smoothly, I'm totally swamped and going to suggest peeps use TaxSlayer, since it does everything and I can check things over afterwards. Good to know.

i just got my state refund last week. i bet you get yours pretty soon. (i filed paper back in mid feb, iirc.)
