I leave work in 2 hours. I haven't worked for much of it (meeting, dentist, catching up on e-mail and voicemail and after this post I'll get working). Tonight we'll meet friends for dinner and a viewing of "Clash of the Titans". Life could be worse.

The house last night was interesting. It was small and built into a hill (as expected, since it was in the Lakeview section of Waltham and most houses there are like that). They need a new oil tank in a bad way; it was all leaky. Still for a small house it had a good amount of rooms and things mostly seemed to be in good repair. It just wasn't grabbing us. We told Ken that we'd probably want to put the house up in the first week of April and he said "I'm ready to go whenever you are". We'll have to clean up, do some minor outside stuff and it will be ready to show. Freaky. A good friend and my Dad offered space to us to crash if it comes to that. The wheels are turning!

Can I just say that I love my dentist and hygenist? Today was a cleaning and the hygenist and I chatted a bit about my neighborhood (she lives in Newton but goes to The Chicken Bone Saloon pretty often to hear Blues Bands). She said she doesn't blame us for wanting to move, and commented how her friends cars have been broken into there multiple times and mentioned some "house full of pedophiles" that's in the neighborhood and that there are prostitutes that hang out in the area on the weekends. Those last two were ones I hadn't heard before but who knows - they could just be urban legends. Since there is a big drug culture I wouldn't be suprised about prostitution; the two usually go hand in hand.

Anyway, she did a fast cleaning, no scraping the crap out of my mouth like the woman that did the last time I was there, and she gave me a choice of either mint, orange or raspberry toothpaste for the cleaning. As usual, I have to "work on flossing", particularly the front, lower teeth. She said that the excess saliva there has minerals which can cause more buildup of stuff on teeth (due to calcium). Fun.

Blah blah blah, my brain is fried (can't you tell)? At least I didn't have too many dizzy spells today (only one when I first sat down in the dentist chair and she tilted the chair so my head was below my feet).

"I need a new dentist, I dislike the one that took over my dentist's office. Where do you go?"

I go to John Giglio (which typing or reading always makes me think of "gigilo") on South Street - its between the 99 and Walgreens (address I found here): http://waltham.dentist-dentists.com/

I used to go there in the previous practice (Dr. Sanito) and then Giglio took it over. He's a young guy, not bad to look at (heh) and seems to be good about interracting with people at a level that they are good with. For instance, he's always really nice and reassuring to me, but jokes sarcastically with Brian about how what he's going to do will hurt more than anything Brian has felt in his entire life. I've never had a problem with them before.

Good luck! I've also heard good things about Damian Meola too (from people at THP posting on the classifieds bulletin board) who is also listed on that Waltham dental site - I liked my office so I never investigated it :)
