Friday someone came to look at our house at 7:00. Saturday there were 2 appointments (12 and 4). Today there were 3 appointments (9:30, 2:15 and 3:30) in addition to the open house from 12-2 that our realtor said wasn't too busy, but had a steady flow of people. Someone is drafting up an offer right now and is going to be sending it to our realtor shortly (he's calling us after that). He said that he's guessing the buyer will be a sure bet financially, since they themselves are a mortgage broker. Here's hoping!
We went to an open house today in the Waltham Highlands and it was a very neat place - its too bad that there were 25 people at the house 15 minutes after the open house started and they already had a bunch of offers on the table. That and the fact that there was a sump pump in the basement chugging away furiously weren't good signs, so we decided to not make an offer (if that sump pump ever died there would be serious flooding in the house, and a lot of the living space was in the finished basement). Its no suprise - it was an 8 room, 4 bedroom house in a nice area for only (heh) $370k.
Now we're just sticking around the house to relax, do laundry, and try and recover from the nutso weekend of having to stay away from our house. It would be so cool to get a good offer and have a signed P&S by the end of the week. The lawyer we used the last time moved so I'm hoping its not too difficult to find him again. The $300 was well worth it to make sure we covered our asses back two years ago.

At least once you've got an agreement on your house, you can go to open houses in Waltham prepared to make an offer right then and there if you find your dream home. :>
