I'm really liking Netflix!
Apr. 5th, 2004 08:31 amThis weekend's movies included:
To cheer me up late last week we skipped goffee, stayed in, and watched Best in Show - I loved it.
My first Dario Argento movie with Jennifer Connolly (its had two titles apparently, "Creepers" and "Phenomena"). It was neat and worth checking out if you like weird horror/thriller movies: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087909/
Last night we finally saw Bend it Like Beckham. I really loved that too, liked the schmoopy ending, loved all the beautiful Indian clothes and was craving being buff and getting out and moving my body again. Damned grad school!
Next movies include: Bulletproof Monk, Reservoir Dogs, and Catch Me if You Can (all of which I've never seen).
****
No word on the bid yet. I'm getting antsy.
No dance class tonight - I'm excited that I'll be home to see Brian and have dinner with him on the first Monday since mid-January.

Date: 2004-04-05 05:52 am (UTC)And Best in Show is a fantastic movie - Since you loved it, I highly recommend "A Mighty Wind" as well - same cast basically :)
Movies
Date: 2004-04-05 05:56 am (UTC)We've been getting one silly comedy, one dark/horror movie, and one more serious/artsy movie each time. I guess Bulletproof Monk this time is taking the place of the dark/horror movie. Its more of a 'Brian wants to see it' movie :)
I definitely want to check out A Mighty Wind - I saw the mockumentary he did on doing a community theater event and I loved it, I loved Spinal Tap and I loved Best in Show so I'll definitely check this out!
Re: Movies
Date: 2004-04-05 06:18 am (UTC)netflix rocks. there's always one movie for me, one movie for p, and one we both want to see, in the queue. 'the heist' is what's on tap for tonight.
and reservoir dogs is my favorite tarantino film. even better than pulp fiction!
