They pulled out - apparently paying over $290k won't work for them. Why it took over 24 hours to figure this out, I have no clue.

Ken said their broker is really annoyed and commented "well, you know how it is when all of the family comes along to look at it".

Good news though, another couple that came by loved the place and was really excited about it, but its the first house they've looked at. They want to shop around a bit before thinking of making an offer.

Back to square one.

I hope we don't live to regret it. I don't think we will (the piece of crap across the street sold for around $280 I'm guessing) so we should at least be able to get $300 for this place.

You'll get it, just hang in there, you've only been on the market for days.

My Father's house - that I worked on with him to restore through the 90s - sold for $320 once we found the right buyer, we turned down many lower offers before that. Someone will come along that finds the place perfect, it's got a lot gong for it.
