I feel like death warmed over. Five hours is not enough sleep for the dancer when I do it a couple of days in a row and are trying to fight off a cold. I must break out the cold tea later on.

We have until this afternoon to make a decision on offers - no word on others yet.

I got an A- on my preliminary data analysis (so no sticker this time - only A's get stickers), not bad at all. I'll have to make edits to my paper to pass in the draft next Wednesday. I also got the first draft of my Evaluations paper on electronic medical records completed. I'm not sure if I love it or not - I'm going to let it go over the weekend and look it over next week to make final edits.

If we accept an offer today we'll need to scramble to work with a lawyer over the P&S and figure out what we're doing with our stuff. Its seems there are movers and storage facilities, but nobody that does both. We may end up getting pods from http://www.doortodoor.com and then hire movers to move the big stuff in . . . we could take care of boxes on our own and save ourselves some money in the process. Then whenever we found a place to go to, we'd hire movers to unload (either just furniture or furniture and boxes).

I had really wanted to get these http://www.rentacrate.com/ but am concerned about the price if we have to store things for a bit. Has anyone had experience with this kind of thing and if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay?

Its a good thing that school is winding down!

If we accept this offer we could be out of our house in a month. All you people that haven't seen it and want to better high-tail it over. :)

check on craigslist I think moms movers do both moving and storage. Craigslist has lots moving services. The people I found were great but a little small for your needs. I also know a moving company that [livejournal.com profile] azlinwulfkin sometimes works for.

Again let me know if you want me to take the animals or anything!

See you tonight my little mashugana...

we used Troy's Movers (out of Lowell) for both moves.
They were great.

if you need to store stuff, feel free to use our place for it. we've got an empty turret room, attic, and basement.

Thanks

"if you need to store stuff, feel free to use our place for it. we've got an empty turret room, attic, and basement."

I don't think we'll fit our 1600 sq foot house (and garage) worth of stuff in your empty turret room though . . . but we may take you up on storing our camping supplies (since we're going camping on Memorial Day weekend we'd need access to them. Thanks!

If we do end up hiring movers I was going to ask who you used . . . I was hoping to get one company to pack, move, and store but I have yet to find someone that will pack a truck and store the truck (or the cab that's attached to the truck). Its looking like we'll need to rent pods from one place, and hire movers from another to take stuff from the house to pods (in the driveway). Later when we have a place to put the stuff, we'd have the pods dropped off, and hire movers again to unload.

Did the people you used do an hourly rate?

Thanks!

well, the turret room's good for the stuff you don't want to smell like basement/attic. ;p
and as i said, we can put some stuff in our basement and/or attic as well.

troy's did charge by the hour. all of the other moving companies i've contacted do as well. this includes time driving to your place, so i'd pick a mover that is based in framingham or waltham. (or somewhere in between!)

I think the travel time from Lowell to framingham would make them cost-prohibitive. :)

If you guys want to rent a uhaul trailer (http://www.uhaul.com/trailers/), I'll pull it. It's probly really cheap, considering that a motorcycle trailer is $14.95/day (+$7 for insurance).

No thanks - we have too much stuff to use a motorcycle trailer. :)

I didn't mean to rent a motorcycle trailer. I was just using it as an example for the price.... as in a different style trailer shouldn't be much more.

there's also 6x12 available, but i only called that one place on 135.

....meant that if we call around, we can probably find a 6x12. just that the place on 135 is probly the most convenient.

that image is a 5x10.

i'm guessing a 6x12 is like $30 or $35? maybe $40/day.
