Now I can obsess about the fun details.

Moving, paint colors and stuff for sale:

First off - pencil us in! We'll need help loading boxes into a truck on the eve of Tuesday June 29 (my birthday, btw). We'll need help unloading boxes from the truck at the new house on Wed June 30. Furniture - we're hoping to leave to the pros . . . so it should be an easy move.

The last time we moved it was stupid hot and humid out (it was June 28, 2002). Afterwards we caravaned to my parents house to go swimming, and my Dad bought everyone Chinese Food. This time if we want we could WALK to my parent's house to take a dip. :)

I know its the middle of the week and all - but it doesn't hurt to ask for help :)

We decided that though it would be nice to just move in - white walls are boring. Painting though shouldn't take long. Originally we wanted to paint the same colors as the place in Framingham, but the rooms are so small that I'm not sure how dark colors will work. Ideas? For reference, our living room was a garnet/burgandy color (with forest green living room set) and the dining room had deep royal blue walls. We'd either do these colors or lighter ones that complement them.

As to room arrangement, we still haven't figured out what we want to do. We're trying to decide what bedroom to use for a bedroom :). I've decided I want to get a Lane Hope chest and even picked out the type I want from their website . . . it would store a lot of stuff and would let me stop using a small bureau I have. I have no clue what they cost though.

For sale:

-Antique Dining room set (not a fancy antique, but still antique - a bit beat up but fits a lot - cherry veneer finish but is pine underneath), $250
Table w/ 4 chairs: http://www.diabolis.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=128&pos=168
China cabinet (never mind the silly pic of me, it was from a party):

As Avon already said, depending on Sprout, we might be able to help. I am not a good heavy lifter though unfortunately, but I can carry fragile light stuff well and maybe help with packing/unpacking. Oh, and if you need boxes we still have some left.

As far as painting goes, I have a CD around here with a program that lets you use digital pics of the actual rooms to paint different colors (at leat I think that's what it does, I never used it). If you are interested I can try to dig it up.

If you are considering a mixture of dark and light walls, don't limit yourself to the same color only lighter. We went with a saturated red and the lighter color is not in the red family at all and we like how it came out. We were not interested in having pink walls, so the accent is a neutral off white in the cream family and it works.

I would LOVE any boxes you have - in 2 weeks I'll have loads more free time and could get whatever is free (and, finally see your place, and a very round you!) :)

And as I told Avon, I'd love to help you guys out after the birth too . . . either in house stuff or casseroles or giving respite from the baby. Again, I won't be in school (yay!) so I'll have loads more time.

Don't worry about it :) We don't have great pics of the rooms. Usually I'm able to visualize things. Time and again people think I'm nuts when I suggest things and when its all done they think, wow!, that's neat.

That sounds like a good idea . . . a burgandy on one wall, cream on others, and forest green couches would be very complementary.
