I'm spoiled, really. I was able to enjoy a weekend without having to worry about homework. You know how much "homework" I did? I printed a paper that I finished a week ago and stuck it inside a self-addressed stamped envelope to pass to my professor tonight.
We did some packing yesterday, its so weird. After Mother's Day brunch we were homeward bound with a buttload of boxes thanks to my Mom and Dad. After stopping to go food shopping I did some cleaning and packing in the craft room - its mostly packed up save for things I'll need access to over the next month and things I need rubbermaid bins and garment bags for. Do you think its a bad idea to store PVC outfits in a hot attic? Do you think it would make the clothing melt? We are going to put things we rarely use up in our attic due to lack of closet space . . . but I'm not sure if putting the PVC up there is a good idea.
On the clothing note, I want to finish up sewing trim onto my Padme pants (for the Episode I Battle Outfit) http://www.padawansguide.com/amidala_battle_gallery.shtml . After that I want to get some faire garb together. I don't like the bodice I have and I paid a good deal of money for it (over $200, perhaps closer to $300 - I can't remember). The style just isn't cut right for me but the prospect of selling it alludes me. We don't seem to have good luck selling things (we still have no bites on fridge, weight machine or dining room set).
Van Helsing sucked - don't go see it. The Peabody Essex Museum was neat - do go see it.
I'm hoping tonight after class and making dinner to do something frivolous like paint my nails and sit with a peel-away masque on my face. I can't believe how decadent all of this feels.
SATURDAY, does anyone want to go to Punk Rock Aerobics? See http://www.punkrockaerobics.com for more details. Its at 2:00 at The Middle East Downstairs, and costs only $7. Sordid?

Date: 2004-05-10 07:22 am (UTC)re: Van Helsing - that's a shame it sucked. J and I were really looking forward to seeing it. As it went, we saw The Punisher with Xany on Sat.- which WAS good. J said that and Hellboy were possibly the two best adaptations of a comic/graphic novel he's ever seen. :)
re: your other comment - yes, I'd Totally love for you two to come out! Turns out I need to buy a new grill (when I picked mine up this weekend, it wasnt really worth keeping, so I didnt) but you can come down anytime for dinner/hanging out! *hugs*

Date: 2004-05-10 07:25 am (UTC)Van Helsing vs. Underworld
Date: 2004-05-10 07:39 am (UTC)I liked Underworld much better, since it had more eye candy. Van Helsing - just had 2 people to gawk at while Underworld had a lot of the hot gothy vampires and some studly werewolves. :)
Re: Van Helsing vs. Underworld
Date: 2004-05-10 07:42 am (UTC)i just couldn't get past the fact that acting was horrid and the dialogue left me thinking i was watching a fifth grade presentation. i know it was supposed to be high-gloss and mindless, but the dialogue just made me cringe all the way through...
that's just my opinion. i'm not much for big budget movies anyway :)
Re: Van Helsing vs. Underworld
Date: 2004-05-10 07:55 am (UTC)Well take that, remove 95% of the eye candy, and you have Van Helsing :)
(that was a Brian selection btw - he tends to go for the bigger budget, special effects to the max movies and I just go along for the ride) :)
Re: Van Helsing vs. Underworld
Date: 2004-05-10 08:02 am (UTC)well that's cool. p and i wonder why we ever went to see 'love...actually'. we're both not into romance movies at all, and we left there thinking 'what posessed us?' it was christmas day and i think everything else was sold out.
but yeah, p has put some real stinkers in the netflix queue, and i go along for the ride as well...
