Heaven, I'm in heaven

I'm sitting in a purple room looking at some french doors with a binary "blanket" blanket on my lap and catching up on LJ. There is a super smooshy green love seat under my butt and the cat is all curled up cute-like on the couch. I can see the roses that are creeping up the side of the front porch through the sheer curtains - I have to learn how to prune a rosebush. A little while ago my husband left for work on foot, I'm so glad he's going to be able to do this.
Its the simple things in life, you know.
Today I'm going to try and make sense of the first floor. More unpacking will commence as will some furniture shifting. I'll also have things to bring down (empty boxes, paint supplies, camping things), things to bring up (to the attic for storage) and things to find creative homes for. We were truly spoiled with space in the previous house.
Our washer and dryer aren't hooked up yet either, so I'm going to make a trip to my parent's house to grab a load that I left in their dryer last night. My nephew is out of school but hasn't started his summer school program yet, so he's having quality time with my Dad; I figured, I'd join them for lunch today or something.
Have a great day all! I'm going to put on some cheezy music that you all hate (The Darkness, anyone?) and get crankin . . .

Date: 2004-06-21 06:50 am (UTC)Most of our roses died over the winter. I'm happy to hear that it seems to have been a bad winter for them - my uncle in law lost about half of his, and he's a better gardener than I am.
Glad to hear that the moving is going well for you. We'll have to stop by when you're up for visitors.
