I can't believe that its already Wednesday - holiday weeks mess with my head.
We saw Spiderman 2 last night and we both liked it a lot (though, not as much as the first one). It also made us motion sick from the jumping all over the place with the shots (and, we were sitting too close to the front). I think that they over did the "look, Peter's life is so sad" angle. There are other things I had issue with but won't post them here, as to avoid spoilers. Bruce Campbell was lovely as a snooty theater usher. And God, do I have a thing for hunky nerdy men (I guess it goes with the "I love my Geek" shirt that Amavia gave me for my birthday).
I'm dying to get sewing again. Now that Brian has his stuff out of MY room (heh) I can try and organize it all. I also need to get cracking and finish sewing the trim on that Padme coat and join the Rebel Legion . . . I'd probably march with them in the DC parade if possible since I don't see myself joining the 501st before then. It all depends I'm assuming on what other people will be marching - I'm guessing they wouldn't want 2 Padmes in that outfit (though, I could be a generic handmaiden too I guess, since the outfit was worn when she was posing as a handmaiden). My trooper groupie outfit is coming together - I just need the boots and some kind of belt to go through the hoops on the skirt. I'll need a nude colored body stocking for the Bantha Babe outfit, and I need to talk with the Tiggerette and see if she wants to do a Bantha Babe too (if so, I'll need to make something for her to wear with the leftover fabrics we have). My DC clothes are coming together . . . we just need to figure out what Brian's going to do about his Aragorn outfit.
Oh, I started reading the Motley Crue book that the lovely Anderson got me for my birthday. I'm only a couple of pages in but its pretty entertaining. They are supposed to be making a movie based on it, and its rumored that Ashton Kutcher would play Tommy (there's an old picture of Tommy in there and DAMN does it look like Ashton)! After that per Nikki in an interview with his current band they are doing a farewell tour. I will SO be there for that one. My first concert was with the Crue, *sniff, sniff*.

Date: 2004-07-07 08:28 am (UTC)I was in the parade last year - there was more than one padme, but only 1 per outfit. I know that the 501st only has one Vader and one Boba Fett . . . I'm not sure if the Rebel Legion is as strict :)
The outfit has been done for a while but then I decided to sew different trim on. I did the trim on the coat and 1/2 of the pants. I just need to sit down for an hour or so and finish those pants, and get off my butt to join the Rebel Legion. did you ever end up joining either group?
