Ok, no house porn for you.
I suggested taking photos last night and Brian thought it would be better to wait until we have daylight. I can tell you though, that our dining room looks smashing! Brian came home and said "wow, it looks like a real dining room". The previous "antique" dining room set just didn't do my old WWII era Japanese Tea Set and the Dragon China that my parents got us from Franklin Mint this past Christmas justice.
Technically the set is a "dinette" - the chairs don't have cushions and the table and china cabinet aren't as formal as other sets you've seen. The room is so much smaller than our dining room in Framingham though, we wanted things to fit well so the room wasn't cramped. The china cabinet fits nicely in a corner of the room, next to our radiator.
Its weird as more of the acquired for free or stupid cheap furniture goes away, and we buy more things on purpose. Brian and I joked about how it was our first grown-up dining room set :)
Tonight I'll be chilling with my brother for a bit after work. We're going to walk around the square if the weather holds up (if not, we'll figure something else out).
Oh, and the hubby bought me the new Van Halen CD set yesterday - its a greatest hits across all incarnations of the band and has a couple of new songs. I tell ya, despite them not being too heavy and not really metal at all, the guitar riffs get me every time! The intro to "Hot for Teacher" would be great for bellydancing :)
