We are officially, finally, totally moved in.
There were still a bunch of things stored in Gram's garage so we picked them up last night. We still have a bit of basement and garage organizing, but we're done with the house stuff we were planning on doing for the moment. We really need to take some pictures, soon!
After loading things into the house we spent some time crafting. I sewed leggings for Brian's Aragorn outfit only to find out that they were WAY too fitted (in that "the seat is going to bust open" way). I wasn't able to find 2 way stretch knit and ended up getting 1-way (not going to cut it). I'm stopping at the Fabric Place on the way home to get more fabric, an will use a different leggings pattern that's not as fitted. The good thing is the shirt I made Brian for the wedding still fits and its the right color for Aragorn . . . so that's one less thing I have to worry about making :)
After crafting we went for a long walk. We joked about how now we went for a walk the same # of times in Framingham (a walk for the sake of walking, rather than having a specific destination). We went down Newton street all the way up to Main (near the "Bubble Church"), then down main to Moody, and up Moody to High and back to Newton. We stopped at bit to sit on a bench at the courts (playground/basketball court a couple of blocks from our house) where there were a bunch of people out in the dark playing basketball. "I like our life" Brian said as we sat on the bench looking up at the moon. Yeah - me too. This move was the last major thing that was really missing, and I'm continuously amazed at how much happier I am now.
Tonight we're planning to go to that Broadway documentary at Kendall Square at 6:50 (BRIAN - THIS IS EARLIER THAN I EXPECTED, MAKE SURE YOU'RE HOME ON TIME). Gayle, did you want to join us? Anyone else? Here's a link: http://www.broadwaythemovie.com/

Date: 2004-07-27 06:00 am (UTC)Heh, that damned Padme thing still isn't done . . . its wearable, but there are small details I need to take care of still. :) I'll also have 2 costumes which I bought, which is weird for me. I finally just admitted to myself that while in school I was on a bit of a plataeu with the sewing skills (after school I'll put in a lot more time with it).
"i can't wait to see all the work you guys put into these costumes ;)"
Heh, I can't wait to see them either! :)
Are people still posting to your boards about DC? I can't even remember what my password was from last year :)

Date: 2004-07-27 07:27 am (UTC)If you post after 4:00 (when I leave work) I most likely won't see it. I doubt its in danger of selling out, so if you do end up going, look for us in the lobby. When it gets closer to movie time we'll go in but save a seat in case you make it :)
