Take this golden AN
Aug. 10th, 2004 02:07 pm. . . and bring it to Fran at the tan van, who gives it to Stan (or whatever the actual dialogue was, I can't remember - anyone?)
I feel so sneaky - I went to Sewfisticated during lunch (that's not the sneaky part, I am allowed a lunch hour). I bought some velvet for one of Brian's Aragorn tunics (that's not the sneaky part either - you all knew I was working on that). I picked up 5 yards, a bunch of hem tape, some needles and thread . . . and it all came to $35! God I love that store :)
I feel bad for the woman that measured my fabric, who had just spent an hour helping 2 women select fabric. She cut it out (all $430 worth), rang them up, and found their credit card declined. They left "to get cash". The women at the store weren't counting on them coming back.
I tell you, I do not miss working retail, at all! The discount was great and everything, but it wasn't worth the hassle :)
