More and more

I went to a wedding shower yesterday for a college friend and got to hang out with some of Commuter Lounge crew. They are the only ones that I've really kept in touch with since leaving Simmons, and I'm glad that Michele's wedding has brought us back together again. They are really a great group of women.

Brian had his 501st cookout yesterday, and I got to meet some of the people from the NEG that I hadn't before. One guy brought me flowers and candy (as its a Ukranian tradition to bring them for the lady of the house when visiting for the first time). It seems like a great group of people and it will be fun to do some events with them in the future.

Lateley I've felt more of a pull to seeing people in person and cutting out the technology. I'm thinking that I need more time away from the computer. Its a convenient communication tool, but it just doesn't match up to the real thing. I think backing off would simplify my life a bit. I haven't decided yet if I want to scrap my website or reduce it to bare bones info (my resume and a bunch of links for my own reference).

In other news, sewing is coming along, it will be a busy week, and its only Monday, but I'm already looking forward to next weekend. Even better will be having two 3-day workweeks in a row! :)

Comes the season for being out and about. With the new house and so much beginning, I'll be less glued to this machine, though I don't think I could ever cut it out now, it's brought me so much.

Whatever you do, it's been great seeing you both around, and I should come to Waltham and see the villa. I've been obsessing about design and spaces lately ... here's to having time once this move is complete.

Actually in truth I have been thinking I need to start actually being proactively social rather than passively social.
