Friday Randomness
Sep. 24th, 2004 09:00 amI really love the song and video for "Stacy's Mom". I never got the album because I figured they were 1-hit wonders and that I wouldn't like the rest of it. It kind of reminds me of Wheatus' "Teenage Dirtbag" or anything by Damone (who I think is working on a new album).
A catalog came in the mail yesterday from http://pyramidcollection.com/ and its very drool worthy! Similarly, Target of all places has a nice collection of "halloween" stuff for sale, perfect for your gothic household. I'm bummed that a lot of the Illuminations stores closed, though I'm assuming they do mail order via a website. I'll need to look at some point to get ready for the holidays.
Our "woodstove" has been shipped and should arrive via UPS on Wednesday. Here's hoping either they leave the package or its easy enough for us to get from the office in Watertown. Soon our living room of relaxation will come together, soon! I'm picking up a decorative wall shelf to hang over it that I saw at Pier One last week - it should hold our neat gargoyle bookends (that we got from Forgotten Arts ages ago) and photos of my family. I'm really liking how things are coming together.
I'm all sniffly and hoping that its allergies (I'll be drinking some of my cold tea later on today). Here's hoping the day goes by quickly. I'm looking forward to vegging tonight over pizza and movies.
As I mentioned, http://www.walthamtheband.com/ is playing next Thursday. I think to be safe I want to get there around 8:00ish. I know Sordid is coming with us, anyone else? It should be a good show, since they haven't played for a while (DW, they may even play the song that *you* like). The official announcement of their being signed to Rykodisc has now been made.
Have a great Friday and weekend all!
