Can I just tell you

dancerjodithat last night I didn't do ANY homework? I came home, cut out pattern pieces for a bodice I'm wearing this Saturday, made dinner, ate dinner, cleaned up, and then got to sewing. No homework at all all night!
My musical selections were as cheezy as always, but served to get me moving and motivated to sew. The bodice is 98% finished (I just need to put in the grommets and lace the thing up). I had Damone, The Darkness and Voltaire blasting out of the room (so much so, that Brian got sick of hearing it and went downstairs to play SW Battlefront on the Xbox - I told him he could have asked me to turn it down, but he said he didn't want to interfere with my "system").
I'm such a dork.
Brian made a piratey outfit to wear this weekend so mine will complement him. The bodice seems like its made out of fabrics and trims that I stole off a ship (a flashy brocade with GOLD trim). I'll wear a few broomstick skirts underneath, some kind of jingly belt, and all my gear on my long latigo belt. And I'm going to remember to wear my International Wenches Guild http://www.wench.org/ pin too, dammit! Appropriately, this weekend at faire is Pirate Weekend, http://www.ctfaire.com/ aarrrrrrr!
My next few sewing projects after Ashton's shirts will be for gifts for people - I'm hoping to get the fabric before the 24th (because there is a stitch and bitch that day I think, whee)! I'm all set for halloween, will probably wear the Arwen gown and crown and get some more use out of it . . .
