Last night was nice. After dinner we headed to Borders so I could do homeworking and Brian could browse. From there we headed home listening to the debate, and then watched it once we got back to the Watch City.
Its Thursday, is anyone going to goffee? Brian and I were thinking of it, but didn't want to treck out if nobody else is going to be there.
I'm heading to a "Project Pride Employee Focus Group". There's a program here called "We Project Pride" aimed at employee satisfaction or some such nonsense. Whatever, I'll get "points" that I can add up for doing various good doobie employee stuff that translates into more paid time off. For example, for last year's points (attending a couple of meetings) I got 4 hours of paid time off. For not calling in sick at all for a whole year I got 2 more days of vacation time. And it gets me away from my desk a bit. Of course, I need to kick ass afterwards to prep for a meeting that's tomorrow morning.
The leaves look so beautiful outside my cubicle window, and I'll never get tired of seeing black squirrels running on the trees. Did you know that there was a such thing as black squirrels? There are TONS of them here.
I'm glad its almost the weekend. Chilling with Tember, a long drive, nature viewing and shopping in the White Mountains, walking for Breast Cancer and then chilling at home with tea and homework will fill the weekend - I'm a lucky gal (well, except for that homework part)! :)

Black Squirrels!
Date: 2004-10-14 07:03 am (UTC)Re: Black Squirrels!
Date: 2004-10-14 07:20 am (UTC)Yep, in Malden. There is a pond on the Fellsway (can't remember if its Fellsway East or West . . . its the one that comes up from Wellington Circle). Fellsmere Pond is at the bottom of hospital hill. I work on hospital hill, and see them all over the trees here (so presumably they are down by the pond too) :)
"Pictures!!"
Heh, I'm usually not bringing a camera to work. Perhaps someday I'll remember (and I can take pictures of my mini AT-AT collection that lives on the shelf above my cube (I have 4 of them).

Re: Black Squirrels!
Date: 2004-10-14 08:41 am (UTC)That makes sense, given the more woodsiness of that area (versus around Moody) :)
It looks really interesting seeing ones that are the product of mating between gray and black, or black and red, or gray and red.
They may torment Brian and all, but I still think they are cute :)
