The show was amazing! It was lots of fun, went by quickly and I've never experienced such a feeling of teamwork or euphoia from a performance than with our Wooden Soldiers number. The fall worked! The choreographer REAMED us on Thursday night practice because we hadn't successfully done it yet (we kept breaking in the middle). But it worked last night! The choreographer told us that in her 19 years of doing the show she thought that perhaps it was the best one yet. I was beaming when I drove home and was filled with energy (despite the amount of bruises that grow on my legs each night from having lots of women fall on me).
After a quick change when I got home B and I headed out to Davis Square for http://bazaarbizarre.tripod.com/ . He picked up a neat 'Satanic Vampire Bunny' shirt and I got a cute little clay elf ornament. The women that do punk rock aerobics at the Middle East were DJs and the place was FILLED with people! After exhausting the tables and getting overwhelmed by the numbers of people B and I headed over to Diva for a late night dinner (they were ready to close and we were the only customers in the restaurant). Somehow a PB&J sandwich at 5:00 before a show just wasn't a filling dinner.
Today I need to get to the HS for practice at noon before our 2:00 show and I'll have a little break before having to be back at 6:30 for a 7:00 show tonight. I can't believe how fast this weekend is going by!
And now, back to sit with my tea and watch some of the Home and Garden Channel again (mmmm, I love remodeling shows, I'm definitely my father's daughter!).

Re: The show
Date: 2001-12-10 08:07 am (UTC)I know that someone videotaped it on Sunday night (unfortunately it was probably the worst show of the 5 this weekend but, oh well). The choreographer is going to check and see if the video will be available for sale and if it is I'll DEFINATELY be getting a copy :)
That's the thing that stinks about being in a show - you can't see how it looks from the audience :)
