My doctor called - in completing the immunization record required for school (still, I find it odd that its necessary to fill out an immunization record for Grad school) they found that I never had a tetanus shot or a Hepatitis B vaccine (isn't that a newish thing anyway? They didn't used to give them to kids).

So I need to make an appointment so that they can shoot me up.

I think I'll wait until after this weekend's shows - don't need one achy arm when I'm trying to catch 15 women falling on me :)

Hep B is a multiple shot thing.
I think it's 3 shots spaced out at specific intervals.
I'm surprised that Hep B is required for Grad School.

i seem to recall that Hep B has been on the rise for the past decade, which may explain why immunization is a new requirement.

you probably had a tetanus shot as a kid. they last for 10 years and my doctor told me adults are prone to forget to get their boosters when in college. i know i did!

but, yeah, i'm suprised about the heb B test, too. maybe because you're going for a healthcare related field (right?) it's required (as your contact might involve populations at risk).

yay gradschool! go jodi!
